Most recently SmartGeek was engaged at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest providing PR & Media Management services for the national broadcaster of Malta, and their entrant Ira Losco; taking responsibility for both the artist and broadcaster's social media pages, managing media requests and enquiries, promotion of the artist and her entry, and copywriting of key announcements. SmartGeek also helped and advised another singer, Hovi Star of Israel, during the competition with his social media channels.
We managed web content and social media for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and Eurovision Young Musicians and Eurovision Young Dancers events, for three years on behalf of the European Broadcasting Union; also dealing with media enquiries and parts of the event management. On the Junior Eurovision event, we took the Facebook page from under 20,000 likes to over 100,000 in just 18 months!
In the spots area, we have worked at the 2015 IIHF World Ice Hockey Championships and UEFA Euro U21 Football Championships as part of the team providing content for the competitions' official websites, and managing the events' social media channels before and during each competition. We are currently Content Consultants for the Champions Hockey League's official website and social media channels, and have provided live-blogging services from sports events across Europe.
